Waterbury Farrel® 6-Hi Mills provide improved flatness due to their workroll bending mechanism and intermediate roll adjustment in an axial direction. Main advantages are: improved shape of rolled strip, increased reductions, and greater rolling efficiency.

6-Hi Mills can replace the first stand of tandem 4-Hi Mills due to their smaller work rolls. This would result in fewer stands, allowing the Mills to accept thicker hot-rolled strip.
