6-Hi Mills

Waterbury Farrel 6-Hi Mills provide improved flatness using a work roll bending mechanism and intermediate axial roll adjustment. These mills also provide improvements to the shape of rolled strip, increased reduction and greater rolling efficiency.

Tandem Mill Improvements

A tandem mill replaces the first 4-Hi Mill stand with a 6-Hi Mill, reducing the total sequence size. The smaller work rolls in the 6-Hi Mill allow a higher reduction and acceptance of thicker hot-rolled strip.
