Early recognition of a developing market for close-tolerance products led Waterbury Farrel® to build the highly-efficient Sendzimir® (20-Hi) Mills. Our extensive experience with this type of mill spurred the subsequent development of hydraulically-loaded, position-controlled mills.

The Waterbury Farrel® Cluster-Type Mill is the most flexible and powerful of its kind. It is used to roll both ferrous and non-ferrous metals and is designed to make heavy reductions at high speeds. The 20-Hi roll cluster contains 12 rolls and eight backing bearing assemblies. Four of the rolls are driven by intermediate rolls. Rigid, compact mill housing eliminates deflection of work rolls and produces a uniformly close gauge tolerance strip. We supply 20-Hi Mills in either reversing or one-way operations.

Our latest Sendzimir® Mill design features the Double As-U-Roll® Crown Control and the redesigned housing using Finite Element Analysis.
